Enriched Air Diver

Blacktip Reef Shark

The grace of a Blacktip Reef Shark.

Hey, there was a bunch of cool stuff down there.  The wildlife was amazing, the corals were in full color and I could only stay there for 20 minutes.  Worse was that I still had a grand in my tank and could have stayed longer if the computer and dive plan was not telling me it was time to leave the bottom.

You are in luck, the Enriched Air Specialty certification teaches you how to use Enriched Air or Nitrox to stay down longer and see more underwater.  That is one of the biggest reasons that the Enriched Air Specialty is one of the most sought after by all divers.  You’re on a dive to see everything that you can underwater, don’t let you breathing mixture limit you any longer then it has too.

To take the Enriched Air Specialty, you need to be 12 years old or older.  Hold at least an Open Water Certification.  Depending on style of training, this specialty can be non-diving or have 2 dives involved.  You would need to contact your instructor and find out what is best for you.

Enriched Air Divers have also taken the Underwater Digital Photography or Videographer Specialty.  Enriched Air helps so that they can stay underwater longer and take more pictures or footage.
